The Message:
"Serenity Waterfall" was inspired by the dream sequence in my memoir The Attack: From Shattered to Whole. In 1984, I was attacked and left for dead. While unconscious, I went somewhere. This painting is that place - the "in-between"; the waterfall, the crystal pool, the colors I'd never seen before and had no names for. I've been trying to recreate the themes from that chapter in all of my artwork for many years.
Impressionist patterns and textures in all shades of purple and blue form a waterfall cascading down steps into a still pool, flanked by purple trees against a light green hazy background. The deeper you look, the more you see. Bodies of water with movement generate a natural energy that clears and uplifts. Find those places, clear out the mental and emotional debris, and start fresh.
